Hello. So it is one year later - - a long time since we've last gotten together.

A lot of things have changed, a lot of us have changed.

I'm an OGL now. So's Xuefen. It's kinda different looking at things from an OGLs perspective. You kinda have to make sure that nobody's left out all the time and constantly look out for everybody. It's super tiring. Then you have to worry about how well they can bond togheter and how long they'll even last together. My OG's pretty diverse & it's rather challenging to keep them together on top of school/cca work as it already is. Well and O2 might probably have been the last time some of them will see the OG as it was for some of us in the OG. Well it is slightly easier in the sense that you have this special place in the OG- - all you have to do is to make it work. Harder than it sounds though.

I told my OG that their OG will always be special for them - cos it's the first group of people that you meet at RJ. That they'll always be there for you, if you ever need anybody to lend support you can count on them. Well I guess that's not entirely true - not everybody counts the OG as something special & the population at the Z'cove (as we call it now) slowly dwindles...

I was complaining to Shoujie that putting us together in an OG was useless, especially evident from how many OGs are dead and that Io'ren is already dead. But he said that it's the bond between individual OG members that count more. Then I started to count the number of people from the OG I still converse with, which is a rather insignificant number. Or the number of people I still greet when we meet each other along corridors even. Not a lot I guess.

But one thing I know of is that Io'ren was and still is special to me. I really felt at home and enjoyed my first week in RJC and for that I have Io'ren to thank.

So Io'ren broke up quite sometime ago. So we no longer bond in the 20+ pple group which we called OG. So what! A simple convo about chem S questions lead to the most interesting thing ever! TO REVIVE IO'REN!!!! Everyone is probably busy now because of CT. However,we will have fun fun fun^10 after CTs. We can do anything, everything, play pool, watch movie, eat, sleep, catchup. Haha, for starters, lets just keep this blog alive.

lunch yesterday was a highly amusing affair with just *coughs 4 people turning up.

the movie was even cooler because kevineugenepengandbrandon were the only ones who were going to watch spongebob (eugene as usual was whining-) and then brandon decided that he couldn't watch, and spongebob was sold out; so it turned out to be kevineugenepeng watching heffalump hahaha eugene was complaining like mad that it was 'damn gay'

and we concluded eugene likes bright things because he's always wearing either bright orange (t-shirt, yesterday), lime green (shoes), or some other quirky colour.

and NAT TAN IS MOVING TO BISHAN! so we can crash her place even though she insists it's small and all.

and o2 is probably after the j2 commontests, so ruth and i can crash orientation hehheh joella suggested camping overnight and playing funny games so charmaine (when she returns from m'sia) will have to get us tents so we can sit in the middle of the field. ;D

heres what i learnt today :

- today my second cousins came over to visit. My family took out lotsa titbits...the whole works... and i found this curious looking plastic instrument. It is red. It opens kwa ji (the seed thingies which u normally open with your teeth). I was amused.

- i have an inner jumping roper. i know that after "teddy bear teddy bear turn around" is "teddy bear teddy bear touch the ground". sometimes i scare myself.

- was reading and i considered the similarity between "time" and "space". i realise that both are dynamic in the sense that time is ever changing and the universe is ever expanding. (see the big bang) So like... when u think that u're not going anywhere. you actually are. In two dimensions too. whoa. headache.

Omg, this saturday is the aptitude test for SRP, and I
have yet to prepare! Not that there is much to. You can say I am a big mugger or
whatever but I am really keen to join SRP. (cause i heard form my cuz that it is
great)

Mass OG chat is unsuccessful today, must be the
tutorials! Anyway, it seems like no one is interested in OG outing. Maybe we can
organise one after the results release, to celebrate that is! Hopefully,
everyone can make it to this one. ( ICE SKATE and POOL and BOWLING )

hmm. well. spent most of cny at home. lazing arnd actly. i visited my grandma's house only to find my darling relatives whom i only visit once a year didn't turn up this year. there we go. now i can't even brag that i see my relatives once a year. in a way it was a good thing. it meant i got to eat more. haha. and that's it. that's the only place i went! argh.

except today i went to the beach. we all should go there sometime. i love love love love the beach. the sun, sea, sand and waves. but now there're more campers. like everywhere. you wonder where they all come frm. but nvm that. cycled a bit, though my problem came when i had to make a u-turn. i can't turn. bleah. at least i can cycle?(straight lines only) i've got a terrible sense of balance. i can't skate either. hmm.

I disagree-- My cny has been a whole series of events.

Start from eating bak kua on chu yi morning, move on to diarrhoea on chu yi afternoon, lying half dead from chu yi till chu er morning, could not eat ANY of the tidbits till chu san (today), and am trying very hard to stop myself from touching all the oil and dairy products in case i go straight into the watery graveyard again.

I suspect it's because i owed things across the new year, dammit. :/

Anyway I went for astronomy yesterday also. I saw some star called Siruis, and some other few stars which names I can't remember. Saw lots of clouds too. One was shaped like a horse, one like a dolphin, one like a key, one like batman, one like a mushroom and one fat cloud which looked fat.

Apart from seeing stars, I saw lots of couples hanky pankying in the dark.

And when Joella says OUR there's actually a double meaning ;).

--: seriously. my og amazes me. did anyone even think that we would still be active one year on from onite?of course we all hoped we would. or rather, could, given all the horror stories that our seniors told us ("my og disbanded like dunno how long ago", "it won't last, it's just a high" etc.) and their prophecies of doom did seem perilously close to becoming real when only 5 or 6 of us turned up for o2nite last year.but we still keep in contact, quite a few of us still meet everyday at our new ja'cozy, and we went for onite on friday! haha. me, bharath, jiawen, blee, grace, glen and yingliang stayed for half of the campfire - mark had maths tuition - then went to cafe cartel and ate and talked and laughed a lot. our og is still alive! haha.i should think we are the envy of some people. geri told me that she felt quite sad for the whole onite last year because she knew it wouldn't last. ileyas? we just has as much fun as possible, then ate at one of the ghim moh coffeeshops and vandalised the ja'tome, then a few of us felt reckless enough to go watch a midnight screening of school of rock. (i reached home at a quarter past three i think.)i wonder how many of the immense number of ogs this year will last as long as we have. i'll admit it, the core group of ileyas has beaten the odds. for how long?i choose not to think about it.lindy and nick can and should be proud of us. like i feel when i get the surprised look whenever i tell anyone that i have an og outing to go to.it's times like this that you toss cynicism and pessimism to the back of your mind.

helllloooooo darlings...hope life's been treating you fine lately. i was so damn bored today lah...civics in e morning then a 4 hr break before chem. haha, i don't think i was e only one stoning in sch right. my snr walked up to our table n half complained that we study too hard cos everyone was so bored that they actly started doing tutorials. was damn happy to reach home at 1++ today(i have nv got home so early before even in sec sch) ...cos yest i reached home at abt 9?? had choir practice till abt 7(i really have to get used to this) n then we went for dinner...yada yada. seems tt e place is buzzing with pple going for auditions n discussions abt what ccas to join blah blah. in case you're thinking of sthing to join, JOIN CHOIR. its fun...really really really fun; which reminds me i'm supposed to do an obligatory advertisement. Wanna go for e MEP concert on Friday? haha. but yes yes...don't know how many cca's i'd join in e end...maybe i'll do another non core one or sthing, i really don't know.

is rj like the easiest sch arnd here to crash or sthing? seems no one ever throws e gatecrashers out here..while apparently vj n hc called e police or sthing to throw the pple out...which is kind of extreme i guess. i keep seeing my friends frm elsewhere walk ard e campus n apparently you just walk in through e gates n e security guard leaves you alone. HMM. what's that guy for then?? but at least rj is not tt extreme yet...st nicks had cameras that caught every single car that came in through e main gate. wait. the cars actually can't even come into e school compd. plus you've got to sign in at e counter. so parents n maids have to fill in like their names, ic nos. reasons they're there (having lunch/picking up kid/ no one ever fills in the real reason they're there...to gossip with e other parents) n e time in n time out.

ohoh, which reminds me, they've recently taken to painting e sch building terrible terrible shades of colours that clash....like pink n green. its so so so gaudy...sigh. n the worse thing is i don't even know why they're painting it!! i think its going to undergo renovation in a few years! i nv told you abt e st nicks building right. its not level.so you basically have to walk up then down then up again to get to the same level on the other building in e new extension. n when it rains, it pours. you could be walking out in e open or in the shelter n it wld make absolutely no diff. hmm. alright. i shan't keep going on n on at length abt nothing in particular n leave you with loads n loads of hugs n love...hahaha.

ps until i figure out how to change e settings to get my name in there instead of e word "non" i'll leave that ridiculous label there cos my dad wants e computer n i have no time to figure it out now...haha

Loser Train Stories

I forgot to alight at Raffles place today. I was taking the train home with my classmate and some of her OG mates. All of them alighted and City Hall heading towards the East, while I was heading to the West, leaving me on the train by myself. I decided to get a seat after they dropped off, cos the train gets quite empty after City Hall. For some reason I started stoning on the chair and at Raffles Place I was just staring blankly. Brain not functioning. It didn't occur to me that it was my stop. Didn't get up even after the doors closed. Then as the train moved along it was quite empty. I was thinking to myself "Hmm. why is the train so empty?" WOAH. Then I realised I forgot to alight. Had to go back one stop. Then at Raffles Place I nearly forgot that coming back from the South you had to change platform to go to the West. Fortunately the train directly opposite just left as I alighted at the platform, otherwise I would have rushed onto it.

Oh well. Such exhausting journeys.

Checking with my junior what's going in rgs right now. Apparently all clubs are now merit CCAs, so you don't get points for it. There are only 5 secondary 1s this year. All the club CCAs are going to slowly fizzle out one by one. I don't understand why they like to place so much emphasis on sports CCAs in Rgs. It's not like you don't learn anything out of clubs. We've also been winning trophies for the school and if they're not happy with that I can go back and take back whatever trophies I've won. Oh, apparently fencing is a merit CCA also. Anyway I don't see why they need CCA points under the Raffles Programme.

hey all...
im tired! staying back till 5.30 just to be LOCKED into a class for french is quite stupid. yup they LOCKED us in the room ok... and like did a run down of random rules. apparently if you're late 3 times you get suspended for 3 weeks. and the lesson is for 2h STRAIGHT with NO PAUSE!!! they took away our pause! basically the system is really strict and screwed up... i cant get over how they lock us in class..
ok im going to go back to being tired.
actually im supposed to test out the blog only, but wth.
